Experience the serenity of your personal desert. Le Haute Desert Aerie is a 40-acre estate with nature trails, cool mountain breezes, and views galore. We are known for our stunning vistas and the inimitable beauty of the High Desert landscape. With an open-air campus of guest facilities you can enjoy safe, socially distanced gatherings.
When you book your stay, the entire property (aside from the main house) can be reserved for you and your guests - a total of 4 queen size beds and 1 twin.
- Large Vintage Airstream - 1 queen size bed with kitchenette, toilet, and air conditioning
- Small Vintage Airstream - 1 queen size bed, 1 twin bed with kitchenette and air conditioning
- Little Tibet Safari Tent - 1 queen size bed, wood fire stove
- Marrakesh Safari Tent - 1 queen size bed, wood fire stove

Airstreams
Both of our Airstreams have large decks suitable for open-air gatherings. Each is equipped with air conditioning, a microwave oven, a small refrigerator, dining & sleeping areas, fit in cheerful textiles & fresh, white cotton sheets. Cooking is a joy at our outdoor wood-fire grill or gas grills. The large Airstream has a toilet and a sink, with a massive stone fireplace off the porch. The small Airstream is complete with a bar made out of a helicopter propeller blade and a beautiful view of the open desert. View Photos.
Both of our Airstreams have large decks suitable for open-air gatherings. Safari Tents
We offer two Hemingwayesque, safari-style tents tucked between rock formations. Each has a Queen bed and wood fire stove for keeping warm on cold nights. The tents are furnished with Indonesian carved headboards and handmade bedside tables crafted by the owner from post-fire scavenged Joshua Trees. Likewise, the spacious decks feature post-fire scavenged Joshua Tree pergolas. While our tents do not have air conditioners, the altitude at the Aerie is 4100 ft and we enjoy cool summer nights and mornings. Though the tents are a step up from traditional camping, we recommend them for visitors comfortable with the outdoors. View Photos.

The first of our two full bathrooms is part of our Airstream Village. It is a converted metal shipping container with an outdoor shower that opens up to splendid views of Mt. Gorgonio.
The other is a hand-built stone bathhouse down in our Safari Oasis, with a lovely open-sky shower and walls built into the ancient boulders with repurposed wine bottles from the many weddings we have hosted. The bathhouse is one of the most sublime spots in the Mojave Desert for campers. See more photos in our Virtual Tour.

Our Art Lounge has a kitchenette with a Keurig coffee maker, toaster, fridge, and sink with cold water. Outside of the Art Lounge is a camp cookstove. We provide propane canisters.
Down the lane, behind the pond, we offer another camp cooking area with a massive fire pit with metal grates (the best s'mores campfire spot on earth) and we provide propane canisters.

More Info
- Our living quarters are nestled amongst boulders, making you a part of the majestic Mojave. As a result, you can expect to encounter shy desert critters (do not bother them - they mean you no harm).
- This is camp style: we do have a few small fridges, microwave, electric kettle, and firepits, but no full kitchens.
- The entire 40-acres of trails and desert is yours to explore while you are here.
- You can be assured your stay will be a private and relaxing experience.
- We are located at an elevation of 4100 ft. so you can expect cool nights and mornings, with hot sunny days.
- With all of our electricity provided by state-of-the-art solar panels, we are proudly off-grid and committed to sustainability.
